History
The R-Class (W251, 2006) was an unusual long-wheelbase, three-row luxury people-mover — part wagon, part MPV, part SUV — built in Alabama on the M-Class platform.
It never sold strongly in the US and was withdrawn from the North American market after the 2012 model year (continuing elsewhere — Europe to 2013, and built for China through ~2015).
