History

The Mazda5 (2006–2015 in the US) was a compact MPV with sliding rear doors and three rows of seating for six, far smaller than a conventional minivan.

Based on the Mazda3's platform, it offered van-like practicality with a car-like footprint before US sales ended after 2015.
