History

Successor to the RX-7, the RX-8 (2004–2011 in the US) was a four-seat sports car with a naturally aspirated RENESIS rotary and unusual rear-hinged 'freestyle' rear-access doors.

It was the last rotary-engined production car Mazda sold, ending the company's long line of Wankel sports cars when production stopped in 2012.
