History
The CX-50 arrived for 2023 as a more adventure-themed compact crossover, sold alongside the long-running CX-5 with a wider, lower stance and off-road-leaning trims.
Built at a new Alabama plant, it broadened Mazda's compact-SUV offering; a hybrid version (with Toyota-derived hardware) joined later.
