History

The NX debuted for the 2015 model year as Lexus's smallest crossover, introduced at the April 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The NX 200t was notable as the brand's first production vehicle with a turbocharged engine — a 2.0L four-cylinder producing 235 hp — breaking Lexus's previous all-naturally-aspirated tradition. A hybrid NX 300h (later NX 350h) ran alongside it.

A fully redesigned second generation arrived for 2022 with updated technology including a standard 14-inch touchscreen, revised powertrains (no more NX 200t badge), and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid — Lexus's first production PHEV.
