Lexus CT 200h History
History
The CT 200h debuted in the US for the 2011 model year as Lexus's smallest and most fuel-efficient model — a compact five-door hatchback using the Toyota Prius's full parallel hybrid system (1.8L four-cylinder with electric motor) and sold exclusively as a hybrid.
US sales peaked early and declined steadily after 2014 despite a mid-cycle facelift; North American CT sales ended after the 2017 model year, though the model continued in other markets. It never had a direct US successor, its market space eventually absorbed by the UX.
