Duesenberg Model X History
An ultra-rare larger derivative of the Model A (1926–1927) — only about a dozen built before the Model J replaced it.

History
The Model X was a short-lived, larger evolution of the Model A, built around the time of E. L. Cord's takeover. It used a revised, more powerful version of the straight-eight (roughly 100 horsepower) on a longer 136-inch wheelbase, bridging the gap between the original Model A and the all-new Model J that Cord was already planning.
It was among the rarest of all Duesenbergs even when new: only about a dozen Model X cars were built, of which a handful survive. It was quickly superseded by the Model J introduced for 1929.
