Contemporaneous primary sources disagree: the September 28, 1964 AMA sheet (1965 kit PDF 50) lists the 350-hp engine with three-speed and four-speed transmissions, while Chevrolet Service News, Volume 36, Number 8, September 1964, page 6 lists L79 with four-speed only. The February 1965 (PDF 31) and March 1, 1965 (PDF 8) Power Teams tables also list four-speed only. This page retains the four-speed pairing common to all inspected sources.
