History
The C/K was Chevrolet's full-size pickup line from 1960 to 2000 (heavy-duty through 2002), with 'C' denoting two-wheel drive and 'K' four-wheel drive.
Beloved 'Square-Body' (1973–1987) and later GMT400 (1988–2000) generations made the C/K a workhorse staple. The 'Silverado' began as its top trim in 1975 before becoming the standalone successor model name in 1999.
