Chevrolet Blazer (K5) History
History
The original K5 Blazer (1969–1994) was a full-size, short-wheelbase SUV on the C/K pickup chassis, with a removable hardtop in its early years — a rugged 4x4 that rivaled the Bronco and Scout.
It was renamed 'Chevrolet Blazer' (from K5 Blazer) late in its life and replaced by the four-door Tahoe for 1995. (Slug `blazer-k5` distinguishes it from the compact S-10 Blazer and the modern crossover Blazer.)
