History
Unveiled at Pebble Beach in 2009 and produced from 2010, the second Mulsanne was Bentley's range-topping limousine, replacing the Rolls-Royce-derived Arnage. It was described as the first Bentley engineered independently in-house since W. O. Bentley's 8 Litre of 1930, and again took its name from the Le Mans straight.
It retained the storied 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 — the Rolls-Royce/Bentley L-series engine first seen in 1959. When Mulsanne production ended in June 2020, it closed out that engine after a 61-year run, the longest continuously produced V8 in automotive history. The final cars were marked by the limited 'Mulsanne 6.75 Edition by Mulliner.'
