History

Revealed in early 2021 and going on sale as a 2022 model year vehicle, the Audi e-tron GT is a four-door electric grand tourer on the J1 platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, offering 800-volt architecture for 270 kW DC fast charging. The standard e-tron GT makes around 523 hp, while the RS e-tron GT delivers up to 637 hp (and a 2023 update to the RS model pushed it to 912 hp in 'RS e-tron GT performance' guise).

Unlike the Q8 e-tron, the e-tron GT is manufactured at Audi's Böllinger Höfe facility alongside the R8 — a lower-volume, hand-crafted electric performance car rather than a mainstream EV. It has been well-received for range, charging speed, and performance.
