History

Introduced in 1990, the Rover 400 was the booted, slightly larger counterpart to the 200, again drawing on the Honda Concerto for its first generation. A second generation followed in 1995.

In 1999 the 400 was renamed the Rover 45 under MG Rover, continuing in production until the firm went into administration in 2005.
