History

The Rover 25 was launched in 1999 as a facelifted and renamed version of the third-generation Rover 200, serving as MG Rover's supermini-class car. It shared its platform with the sportier MG ZR.

Built at Longbridge with K-series petrol and L-series diesel engines, the 25 (and the related, restyled Streetwise) remained in production right up to MG Rover's collapse in April 2005.
