Leapmotor T03 History

Launched on May 11, 2020, the T03 was Leapmotor's second production model and the car that built the company's sales base. A five-door electric city car measuring 3.62 m in length, it launched at 65,800–75,800 yuan (roughly US $9,300–$10,700 after subsidy) in three variants. Its 36.5 kWh battery and 55 kW motor delivered up to 403 km NEDC range — competitive figures for the micro-EV class. The T03 also featured Level 2 autonomous-driving capability, three cameras, and 12 radars, an unusually tech-forward specification for its price point.

The T03 became Leapmotor's sales cornerstone through 2021–2023, driving the company's growth to over 144,000 annual deliveries by 2023. Following Stellantis' 2023 investment and the formation of Leapmotor International, the T03 was selected as one of two launch models for Europe (alongside the C10); European-specification T03 production began at Stellantis' Tychy plant in Poland in June 2024. While Polish T03 production ended in March 2025 as focus shifted to the B10, the T03 remains in production in China and continues to be sold in select international markets.
