A clean-sheet design that, for the first time, offered a four-door Wrangler Unlimited alongside the two-door — the four-door went on to dominate sales. (For 2018 the JK was sold alongside the incoming JL; this dataset assigns MY2018 to the JL.)

The 2007 model year

Overview

The third-generation Wrangler (JK) arrived for 2007 as Jeep's first completely clean-sheet redesign of the body, frame, and suspension. Its landmark addition was the four-door Wrangler Unlimited, sold alongside the traditional two-door — a more usable, family-friendly Wrangler that went on to dominate sales (by 2017 four-doors were about three-quarters of Wranglers sold).
