Announced in 1932, the 12/45 used a 1½-litre overhead-cam Blackburne six in place of the large Meadows engine, with a preselector gearbox option. It was Invicta's bid to sell a lighter, more affordable car and widen the customer base beyond buyers who could afford the big 4½-litre models.
The supercharged 12/90 variant raised output from 45 to 90 bhp but attracted little demand. A proposed twin-cam 12/100 never progressed beyond a prototype. Very few of either model were sold, and the experiment underlined that Invicta's identity was tied to its large-engined cars. Car production appears to have ceased by around 1935, with the company wound up in 1938.
