Overview

The 2015 F-150 launched the thirteenth-generation truck with a high-strength, military-grade aluminum-alloy body over a fully boxed high-strength-steel frame — the most significant change in the truck's history. Ford cited a weight reduction of up to roughly 700 pounds versus the prior model, improving payload, towing, and fuel economy.
