Fourth-generation Corvette (C4, 1984–1996)

1984–1996

The fourth-generation Corvette launched as a 1984 model — there were no regular 1983 cars, only 43 pre-production pilots. A clean-sheet modern design, the C4 is best remembered for the Lotus-engineered ZR-1 'King of the Hill' (1990–1995) with its DOHC LT5 V8, and for the 1,000-unit 1996 Grand Sport that closed the generation.
