The 2011 model year

Overview

BMW's 2011 U.S. factory roster expands to twenty-three exact 3 Series applications. Twelve N51/N52K 328 routes, the M57Y 335d, and three S65 M3 bodies continue; the five regular 335 applications change to the N55 engine, while new 320-hp N54T-powered 335is Coupe and Convertible routes add distinct cooling and manual-or-DCT fitment.

  • The 335is E92 Coupe and E93 Convertible debuted with a 320-hp N54T, standard six-speed manual, and optional seven-speed DCT.
  • BMW specifies 332 lb-ft nominal torque and temporary overboost to 370 lb-ft for the 335is.

  • Do not order regular 335i/335xi parts by badge alone: 2011 N55 fitment differs from earlier N54 and contemporary higher-output N54T 335is applications.
