Apollo Intensa Emozione History

Revealed in October 2017 and entering production in April 2019, the Intensa Emozione (Italian for 'intense emotion') was Apollo Automobil's statement of intent under its new ownership: a $2.7 million, track-focused hypercar limited to exactly 10 examples, all of which were sold before deliveries began. The name captures the philosophy — not maximum horsepower through forced induction, but a naturally aspirated, high-revving V12 demanding full driver engagement.

The car uses a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine derived from Ferrari F140 architecture, developed by Autotecnica Motori and HWA AG, producing approximately 769 hp at 8,500 rpm with a 9,000-rpm redline. All power drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed Hewland sequential manual transmission. The full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis weighs just 105 kg — meeting LMP2 racing standards — and the complete car weighs 1,250 kg, enabling a claimed 0–60 mph in 2.7 seconds and a projected top speed of 208 mph.

The Intensa Emozione was styled and developed in partnership with Manifattura Automobili Torino, with the body referencing biomimicry and organic forms inspired by nature — a deliberate aesthetic departure from the angular, industrial Gumpert-era Apollo. Its rarity (10 built, all sold) and V12 character established Apollo's post-2016 reputation as a maker of genuine ultra-exclusive hypercars.
