Acura RSX History

Introduced for the 2002 model year, the RSX replaced the third-generation Integra coupe and was sold alongside a revised Integra sedan before that nameplate was also retired. Mechanically identical to the Japanese-market Honda Integra (DC5 platform), the RSX offered a base 160-hp 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine and a Type-S variant with a high-revving 210-hp unit and close-ratio six-speed manual. It attracted a passionate enthusiast following in the tuner and autocross communities. Acura discontinued the RSX after 2006 as the brand pursued a more upmarket positioning, and it had no direct successor until the 2023 Integra revival.
