The third-generation MX-5 Miata (chassis NC) was the first all-new platform, sharing engineering with the rotary RX-8. Slightly larger and more grown-up than the roadsters before it, it was the first Miata offered with a Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) folding metal roof alongside the traditional soft top, and introduced the driver-focused Club trim for 2013.
