The 2017 model year

Overview

For 2017, the FK8 Civic Type R brought Honda's flagship Type R performance badge to the US for the very first time. Built in the UK and powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC engine driving the front wheels, it landed as one of the most hardcore factory front-drive performance cars on sale, ending decades of US enthusiasts importing or longing for the Japan/Europe-only Type R.
