The 2022 model year

Overview

For 2022 Ford added the all-electric F-150 Lightning to the lineup — a battery-electric version of the fourteenth-generation truck built on a unique independent-rear-suspension frame, with a large front trunk and the ability to power tools or a home via available bidirectional charging. It shares only its name with the 1990s–2000s supercharged SVT Lightning sport truck.
