The 1975 model year
Overview
Ford introduced the F-150 for the 1975 model year as a new model positioned between the half-ton F-100 and the three-quarter-ton F-250, offering a higher payload rating than the F-100 within the 1973–1979 sixth-generation F-Series. It would go on to eclipse the F-100 and become the heart of the F-Series line.
