The 2022 model year

Overview

The 2022 Bronco expanded the revived range with two purpose-built four-door derivatives: the Everglades and the high-performance Raptor. Ford's Job 2 order guide lists Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, and Raptor series rather than treating the new hardware as one generic Bronco.

Year over year

What changed

  • Ford added the four-door Everglades and Raptor at the 2022 Job 2 changeover.
  • The Raptor combined an exclusive twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 with a 10-speed automatic, HOSS 4.0 suspension, and standard 37-inch all-terrain tires.
  • The regular range retained two- and four-door bodies and both manual and automatic transmission availability, subject to series and engine restrictions in Ford's order guide.

Worth knowing

Notable

  • The Raptor was the first production Bronco to use the Raptor name and a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6.
  • Ford's Job 2 guide assigns Everglades and Raptor their own series and order codes.

Reliability & ownership notes

  • Identify series, engine, transmission, door count, and build phase before ordering parts; the Job 2 additions do not apply to every 2022 Bronco.
  • Raptor chassis, suspension, wheel, tire, steering, cooling, and 3.0-liter powertrain parts are model-specific and should not be ordered from regular-Bronco fitment alone.
