The 2021 model year

Overview

The 2021 US 3 Series range broadened substantially. The 330i and M340i pairs continued, BMW added rear- and all-wheel-drive 330e plug-in hybrids with 288 hp combined, and the new G80 M3 arrived as a 473-hp manual model or 503-hp rear-drive Competition automatic.

  • 330e and 330e xDrive plug-in-hybrid sedans joined the US range.
  • The G80 M3 launched with a manual 473-hp base model and automatic 503-hp Competition model.
  • M3 Competition xDrive was announced for the following 2022 model year and is not part of the 2021 roster.
